    1. I had to wait for my husband to finish this novel before I could get my hands on it, but once I did I absolutely consumed it, completing it within 30 hours of commencing reading! Ok, I wasn't at work for the day so got in more reading time than usual, but I woke early the next day just to get it finished! From that you can obviously take that this was a fantastically engaging read. I lapped up all of the scientific (physics, astronomy, archaeology) and historic fact, which I understand to be inc [...]

    2. The story centers around the Mayan calendar ending on December 21, 2012. Definitely well researched facts (that enhances the story) are superbly intertwined with fiction in this gripping, easy-to-read novel with a Love story you will all enjoy. The two stories centre around both main characters Andrew is an archaeologist who finds a codex in a tomb in Mexico and Kathryn is living through the trauma of it on the other side of the world in New Zealand and is just waiting to enjoy christmas with he [...]

    3. Based around the Mayan calendar ending in 2012, lots of well researched facts and history are superbly intertwined with fiction in this gripping, easy-to-read novel with two threads. Each thread is based around a strong leading character that you very quickly get to know (Andrew is an archaeologist who finds a codex in a tomb and is trying to find out what it means to mankind and Kathryn is living through the trauma of it on the other side of the world). I thought one of the threads was a little [...]

    4. I loved this book, it was an awesome read. The author has obviously researched thoroughly the world of anthropology and science. Not being an expert in these feilds I can't comment on the realism but I felt her research proved a great part of the book. There were times during this book where Lisa's writing made me question my own reality and thinking about the topic of 2012 and the possibility of it.

    5. I loved this book! I kept wondering what it would be like to be in Catherine's shoes. I don't know what I'd do. Lisa's writing was descriptive, yet succinct. I could easily visualize the scenes and settings in my mind -- although I have never been to New Zealand or Mexico. Her story was vivid and realistic. I am looking forward to the sequel!

    6. A very well written book with two plot lines that weave in and out before coming together at the end. If you are interested in old civilizations or end of the world disaster scenarios, then I highly recommend this book as the story is built on excellent research.A great book from a first time author.

    7. I just finished reading and I think the world should know about this fantastic book. It is a thrilling read which I really enjoyed. All things a good story need are provided: an exciting scientific background, a beautiful love story, horror scenarios and an on-going change between different places and lives. Highly recommended!
