    1. the five little monkeys are all dirty from eating ice cream and need a bath. A lot of movement in this book and sing song word choices. Toddler and up.

    2. My 3-year-old is a huge fan of this book, saying the memorable rhymes along with me as we read it multiple times a day. It's a short board book, great for bedtime.

    3. A fun read. The kids liked the soup and showed me how they wash up! Monkey sounds included the appropriate creech creech but also roars. I had no idea monkeys roared so loudly!

    4. It is the illustrations that make this book. Eileen Christelow's crazy, energetic five little monkeys are back - eating ice cream and jumping in mud and five "icky , sticky, yucky, mucky monkeys" are just happy as clams about being dirty. They splash through a tub, slip and slide through the drying process and then head off to dinner…this is the first time that I read an ebook at story time, and it worked well, as the kids seemed to pay extra attention to my iPad, which I was using much like a [...]

    5. Good book. If your kids like the 5 little monkey stories by Eileen Christelow then you probably have to read this one. It's about bath time but also about getting messy. No rhyme so don't have it be your first 5 little monkey's book, but it's still simple enough for a toddler I think. Good words, sometimes that rhyme or have the same ending or beginning. Examples: icky, sticky, yucky, mucky or sip, slurp, slop, drip drop or splish, splatter, splash, wash and scrub.

    6. The Five Little Monkeys are up to their usual antics and this time they end up in the bath after eating ice cream and becoming icky, sticky, slurpy, sloppy little monkeys.Little ones will likely giggle and find the book charming. I just felt that it really didn't hold my attention or the little girl I was reading it too!

    7. Another in Christelow's excellent "Five Little Monkeys" series. This time dirty monkeys need a bath! Boardbook format lends itself well to this fun book, perfect for reading and giggling after a bath.

    8. This time the monkeys get very dirty and need a bath. This book has great rhyming sounds for babies. It was a sucessful baby storytime book.

    9. This book is so much fun to read. I love the line "icky, sticky, yucky, mucky monkey." It is a regular giggle-a-thon in Alice's room when the soup spills at the end.
