    1. ***4 "DAMN U MATT SHAW" STARS**I devoured this book like a fat kid devours cake. and then you hit me with THATending I hope PETER has some answers. If not, I'm gonna sic your fiancée on you.Just sayin :-)

    2. ☆☆☆☆ 4 You're Not Real Stars ☆☆☆☆ I went into this book all happy and excited. Finally.ybe finally.I will get the conclusion of this obsession story I have been waiting for.I was WRONG. damn wrong!! Damn you Matt ShawDAMN YOU!!!! a MESS.This book was everything I wanteduntil the end. No DAMN waywas I expecting this If you are in need of a total mind bender.eHappy Ever After Series by Matt Shaw is for you!!!

    3. This is by far my favorite of the three books, I liked how it kept me guessing and the ending!!!OK I'm out of here because PETER is waiting for me!!

    4. Fast read and entertaining until the end. I would have enjoyed it more if the twist wasn't the same as a previous novella I read from Matt Shaw.

    5. Now I much prefer books 1 & 3 in this series. This book I thought was very good, it starts straight from where book 1 ended and I really enjoyed it, now wanting to start the " Peter " series that follows Peter that was in this book, looking forward to more of Matt shaws books

    6. This is Vanessa's story. The third instalment in the 'Peter Chronicles' and the last of the trilogy, we see events unfold through Vanessa's eyes. Peter is gone but not forgotten, can she escape the house and make a fresh start or is it too late? This story is seen entirely from Vanessa's point of view. We are with her every step of the way as she continues her attempts to escape. As her mind starts to unravel, events take a sinister turn. Once again Matt has given us a tense and taut little tale. [...]

    7. Oh What a twisted tale! And I did NOT see that ending coming! Creepy, creepy! And now that I've read two of these, I need to get some sleep and then read the prequel tomorrow. I still can't believe that endingap!

    8. A Fresh Start picks up where Happy Ever After ended. Vanessa is trying to find a way to escape Peter's home and start a new life. Even though Peter is dead, he still haunts her and she is trying to cope with that while trying to find her way to civilization.Matt Shaw is a really good writer. I am really enjoying this series.

    9. OK let me say outright, having read the other reviews am not sure if I was reading the same books.Yes Matt Shaw has a brilliant writing style and I cant wait to read more by him, that said he leaves far too many unanswered question in his book.Yes, I get you can elude to something and we (the readers) dont need every little detail explained but come on!!I still cant get over that we are reading about a dead man!Why was he so messed up in the first place? How is he so self funded?Think Mr Shaw cou [...]

    10. This one definitely falls under the WTF? category. This one was indeed shorter than the first one and one can get through it in one go. Without giving anything away, I must admit I don't know if I feel cheated or not with that ending. Admittedly the Peter chronicles were not the stories I were gonna read first from Shaw. I picked them up to get a sampling of his work- very dark and twisted stuff. not entirely original but compelling enough. I look forward to seeing what "Sick B*stards" has in st [...]

    11. The third of the Peter chronicles and the shortest and weakest IMHO of the three. It was very good to catch up with Vanessa's story and see it to a conclusion. Her paranoia and voice in her head worked initially, and given the situation it was not surprising that she was paranoid but it became a bit too drawn out by the end of the book, and considering this is a short read that is saying something.

    12. Utterly dreadful nonsense. Unoriginal idea - it's a shocking rip off of John Fowles' The Collector. Annoying and unengaging characters and outrageously implausible events. Of the three in the trilogy this is by far the worst. Laughable, and not in a good way. I was looking for a new horror novelist. I'm still looking.

    13. So I read book one and was of course dying to know what would happen to Vanessa so I skipped the second book and read the third one. Now that I know I can go ahead and read book two but do I know what happened?!? I'm not sure. That ending was crazy! Anyway I loved these book and can't wait to read more.

    14. The 3rd in the trilogy and the most FREAKIEST ending EVER in any fiction book I've ever read.I've said this before has someone checked the author's garage for bodies;-) Read his Facebook posts you'll see he's really quite witty!

    15. I shed a tear when she killed old Fred then found out he was innocent. But I'll be honest, the ending confused me a little. I mean, I understand it, but why?! Also I don't get who was watching the monitors! Answers please!

    16. This Author is AddictiveWhen you start reading the first book about Peter and Vanessa you will be hooked. Matt Shaw writes these stories with horror and fear and then throws in a little warped psychology. You will not be able to resist the next book if this is your cup of tea.

    17. Wow!!!!!! Another awesome book by Matt Shaw and def didn't expect the ending of it cant wait to read more of his books
