    1. Wow. I just finished this and feel like I've been put through the wringer. When you can't even get past the books dedication without welling up you kinda get the feeling that its gonna be having some kind of effect on you. I was totally right. I laughed, cried, and experienced every emotion the characters were going through at the time. Having experienced some of the issues Dana did I could totally relate and have gotta say that the author got it spot on. Not one of the things she felt was out o [...]

    2. This is one of those books that start off slow and I will admit to thinking I wasn’t going to like this book and that was mainly down to the way names where shorted and the way the characters talked and that is just a personal thing to me. But when this story kicked in Oh my you are hooked, and I can honestly say I ended up loving this book.It does have a sensitive storyline about abuse and how it affected Dana, her son and her friends and family. But the one thing that does come through is th [...]

    3. The Perfection of Love, was a surprise to me. It deals with the subject of physical Abuse and the love and strength of a family, it shows you that no matter what you go through in life that you can find happiness again. I loved Dana Daniels, she's been through a lot and because of it has built a wall of protection for her and her son all around her. Dr Deacon Greenwood tries to take down those walls, you will love Deacon he is so swoon worthy but also so loving. This book has a great cast of Cha [...]

    4. I really enjoyed this book, I found it to be refreshingly real. I connected really well with the characters, especially Dana's relationship with her sisters, growing up in a big family I'm very familiar with the fighting like cats and dogs thing. Being British myself I loved the typically British sense of humour that is shown, some of the things the characters say to each other had me laughing my head off and thinking, "that is so what my friends and I are like".I thought the way it was written [...]

    5. Wow - I can't remember the last time a book boyfriend made me swoon like Deacon! I love him!! <3This is a well written story, Dana's issues are dealt with strength, love and delicacy. It's a funny and emotional read with great interaction between the characters - who have been crafted to make you fall in love with them. It's the kind of story where the people and situations stick with you for days after you finish reading. I think this is an amazing and powerful debut novel from this author an [...]

    6. I LOVED this book. Dana and Deacon's story was so great. This book touched on some very important topics. I really think the author did an amazing job. There was one particular scene in the book that I could not stop laughing at. The book was heartbreaking, funny, and inspirational all at the same time. I cried, I laughed, and I was angry at times. I can't wait to read more from this author and more from the Daniels Sister series!!!!

    8. This is a great book but it will make you ugly cry. So worth the tears though. This is the first book from this author and I am excited to read more from her.

    9. Robbie's ReviewIn this very impressive first novel, new author J. L. Monro successfully takes her readers into the dark world of domestic violence employing zany characters, humorous dialogue and steamy romance. The story is told from the POV of Dana Daniels, a university research manager and PhD candidate who is about to begin working on a study of the psychological effects of cosmetic surgery. Dr. Deacon Greenwood is a plastic surgeon who has requested to work with Dana due to a paper she wrot [...]

    10. Dana is someone who has suffered more trauma than most but has a strong family support system. Deacon has everything except a guilty conscience. Can Deacon manage to get past the stone wall that Dana has built to protect her heart from being broken again? One thing is for sureThe Perfection of Love is the type of book that makes you see life as it is. Nothing is simple and nothing is perfect. This book shows reality that relationships are not easy and mistakes will happen. Can't wait to see wher [...]

    12. DNF! The boring blurb almost put me off. It should have. A slow start that didn't get any better well, I gave up so maybe it did but I doubt it.
