    1. Star rating is based on personal preferences. Not my kind of romance. Don't like reading about H's who have seduced and been with h's stepmother in the past. And especially, not interested in H that kisses ow/stepmother after meeting and kissing the h

    2. A blonde, bold prince. A damsel in distress with snow white skin and ruby red lips. A wicked, forever-young stepmother with a magic mirror. Dwarfs who mine gems. Though it might sound like it, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" this isn't. Vampiric Prince Kirill preys on pretty necks while seeking to dethrone his father, beautiful Irina is a community organizer capable of leaving Saul Alinsky in her dust, and a gargoyle joy-rides through Evil Stepmother's mirror - all in a fantasy land that looks [...]

    3. 4 Stars This story was a huge improvement, for me, over the first bookI felt as though the storyline was deeper and more engaging, the characters more fierce and somewhat darker, and the overall feel of the book was less rushed allowing the story to unfold in it's entirety Irina is a strong, independent, brave, and sensual heroine that stood toe to toe with Kirill, the scheming yet loyal and undeniably sexy vampiree two together provided a scorching chemistry that added a sultry dynamic to the o [...]

    4. The first book in this series, Before Midnight, took the traditional Cinderella tale, spun it around, added new elements and a much darker atmosphere and produced an exciting version with a werewolf prince. One of the things I appreciated about it is the Prince is more than merely Charming – he comes with complete with rough spots, the occasional dent, and a lot of tarnish. This book does the same for Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. The vampire prince of this story is only charming when it s [...]

    5. Another dark, lovely retelling in this brilliant series! One Bite was a wonderful, dark re-imagining of Snow White with-wait for it-vampires! It was absolutely fantastic and I totally loved it.I'm just loving this series. I love dark fairy tales and these books hit that dead on. We get more of an idea of what's going on with the prophecy of the World Tree and why it involves the princes of the 5 realms. I loved book 1, I loved book 2 even more, and I can't wait to see what's in store for book 3. [...]

    6. I received this book in exchange for an honest review (LoP or Lovers of Paranormal)I liked this second book more than I liked the first, and honestly I think it was because of Irina, she had a much more likeable character than in the first book.So this book is an adaptation of snow white with a vampire, Irina being snow white and the vampire Prince Kirill being Prince charming. I loved loved loved Indiana who was not the Disney snow white but a gutsy rebellious and adventurous, more of a snow w [...]

    7. So continues my obsession with twisted fairy tales. The Blood Prince series is definitely feeding that obsession. ;)One Bite is a very witty title when you think about it. This twisted take on Snow White has the apple, the wicked step mother, the woodsman and the dwarves, but the real question is does the ‘one bite’ refer to the poisoned apple or the Vampire prince?Kirill plots while Irina negotiates. They both have secrets that they are keeping for very different reasons. Even thought the s [...]

    8. This is my absolute favorite from one of my favorite authors! I am in love with Kirill! He is a sexy, dark, plotting, and obsessive vampire hero. I thought his character was very well done, it is hard to make a hero this dark and still make him loveable.Irina held her own with this alluring hero. She was sweet, intelligent, brave, and intriguing. I loved how she marched into a vampire den and started making demands! Kirill’s devotion to her is so endearing. I would like to encourage anyone who [...]

    9. Plot: 4.5/5Characterisation: 3.5/5Prose: 3/5How much I enjoyed it: 4.5/5Even though you can expect the key plots of Snow White in this story, I like how it's woven into the story Though I wish there was more of the dwarves.

    10. Review forthcoming on a-reader-lives-a-thousand-liveI received a copy of One Bite in exchange for my review.Irina has lived in her stepmother's castle and has watched the sorceress come to hate her more and more, though she has very little idea why. When the Huntsman takes her out of the castle and tells her that he was ordered to kill her, Irina's life turns upside down. Prince Kirill finds Irina in the woods, and instead of risking her life by drinking her blood, he takes her to the home of 7 [...]

    11. I received this book in exchange for an honest review (Lovers of Paranormal)Things are heating up.I still want more out of these books, perhaps a slower transition along the story. I mean, I know what happens in these fairy tales, and I'd like for it to be dragged out a little more. That aside, I thought that Kirill and Irina were great together. He's so, well, calculating, really, yet humorous in his own way and alluring; and she's so spunky and feisty--although, I will say that she was a bit m [...]

    12. In the first book, Before Midnight, we got an amazing and fresh retelling of Cinderella. There were so many great things about that story and Jennifer was able to do the same thing with this book. This book focus’ on Snow White. There is a poison apple, evil stepmother, and a glass coffin but Jennifer gives us so much more with her story. We have Irina who is running from a stepmother that is trying to kill her. While she is running she is trying to band the different territories together to r [...]

    13. A vampire and Snow White story rolled up all into one?! Sign me up!!!!The vampire prince, Kirill, is plotting to over throw his father and become king and so he's on a consent search for allies, and he'll do anything to make sure he accomplish his goal. And a certain woman is the only person that can help him now. Irina will not allow her fear of others and their powers to stop her from living, and she wont be taken advantage of if she has anything to say about it!! Not even from her evil sorcer [...]

    14. I loved the first book in this series and knew that I had to read whatever came next.I received a copy of this book from LoP in place of an honest review.I will have to say that this one is my favorite because I have always love Snow White and this one is sorta like that. I will tell you that this isn't a Disney princess. This one just happens to have a little extra in it. We are closer to finding the clues that we first heard about in the first book.Irina is just wanting her freedom but her evi [...]

    15. One power hungry vampire prince and a beloved princess. Passion, magic, and a crazy stepmother. A Snow White retelling that actually goes with the real tale of Snow White. Another great book by Jennifer Blackstream. With great characters and adventure this book was a fast, fun read.

    16. Very Creative Retelling of Snow WhiteThis is the second novel in her black princess series I've read, I enjoyed both immensely and can't wait to read the rest .

    17. I am loving this series. It's a great twist to childhood fairy tales. I thought I would stop at book one but now I'm on to book 3.

    18. Disclaimer: I received this book from the author as part of a R2R in the Lovers of Paranormal  group. This doesn't affect my review and the following is my honest opinion. After reading Before Midnight my expectations for the second book in the Blood Prince series were high. Jennifer Blackstream met and then exceeded them! Yet again you were given a peek into the plans laid by a power the princes have no idea is pulling their strings. I’m growing more and more intrigued with each glimpse we [...]

    19. This review and many others can be found on my blog - Feed Your Fiction AddictionThis review is spoiler-free and safe to read, even if you haven't read the first book in this series. One Bite is a fun fairy tale retelling of Snow White set in the same world that book 1 (Before Midnight) took place in. This time, we get to learn more about the vampire kingdom and Prince Kirill. The negatives:Not quite as engaging as book #1. I'm not sure if it's because I wasn't as enthralled with the fairy tale re [...]

    20. The vampire was a veritable porcupine when it came to sharp points. -Eurydice's thoughts."Don't tone it down on my account," Prince Adonis insisted, his trademark cigarette smoke spilling from his lips. "Go ahead and fight it out." He smirked. "I like to watch.""If the demon is going to make crude jokes all evening, I'm leaving now," Prince Patricio mattered, ruffling the feathers on his wings."Well then, bye bye, birdie," the incubus said sweetly. - Adonis and Patricio."Why don't you turn that [...]

    21. 1.5 StarsIt wasn't all that great either. If I chose one word to describe this book it would be "meh." It felt scatter-brained and ultimately thrown together. I found this book to be lacking in story, plot, and the characters were flat and uninteresting.(view spoiler)[At one point it felt as though the author lost focus on the story of this book and focused on the ultimate story/plot running through the entire book series. To the point that I wondered why the author didn't just focus on one or t [...]

    22. So if you haven’t read the first of this series, each story is a retelling of the classic fairy tales, just with a supernatural twist, and some awesome writing. And I loved loved the first one, which was the werewolf meets Cinderella LOL now this one, is Snow White, and Prince Charming is a vampire LOL I absolutely love this author’s imagination and where she is taking the stories. You still get the feel for the original tale, and yet, you love this new rendition just as much! So, we start o [...]

    23. This is the second book in the Blood Prince series and is such a delight to read. If you are new to these books then I heartily recommend the first tale Before Midnight as each sets the scene quite nicely for all the fun that is to follow. These stories are all based quite loosely on classic fairy tales but with a twist! A paranormal and very sensual twist that makes them most definitely a grown up read!In many ways One Bite is a reworking of the classic Snow White tale but this is no Disney ver [...]

    24. This is the second story in Blackstream's Blood Prince series, each a retelling of a familiar fairy tale with a paranormal twist. This time she takes on Snow White, and Prince Charming is the vampire Prince Kirill. Kirill and 4 other princes are summoned at each full moon to the World Tree to offer a bit of their blood to the tree. They know they are part of an important prophecy, but don't know exactly what the prophecy says. Kirill has a little more information than the rest, but he's not shar [...]

    25. I know this book isn't about Adonis but like seriously that man cracks me up and I can't wait to read his damn book, "don't tone it down on my account," Prince Adonis insisted, his trademark cigarette smoke spilling from his lips as he spoke. "Go ahead and fight it out." He smirked. "I like to watch." Kinky, I know (winks) Irina as a little bit of feistiness (is that a word? it is now) going on with all that's her, "when. I'm a subject of this kingdom, as you so kindly reminded me, and I have a [...]

    26. One Bite is Jennifer Blackstream's take on the Snow White story. The novella is the second in her series of re-imagined fairytales, Blood Princes. I am a big Blackstream fan and I jump on them every chance I have to read her books. One Bite has all the iconic images we have come to associate with Snow White - there's the jealous wicked step-mother, the loyal and good hearted huntsman, dwarves, a magic mirror, the apple, the glass coffin, the prince and the kiss that breaks a spell - but they eac [...]

    27. The Snow White one! Very clever, vampire, snow white, one bite. Haha. No really, read it.Full review can also be found on: Paein and Ms4Tune’s Book BlogThe Snow White one! (only recently become a fan of Snow White, thanks to Once Upon A Time.)Another good one. I’m liking this series. Kirill was the coldest of the 5, meeting under the world tree. He liked to poke the werewolf and keep a lid on the knowledge he possessed, a firm believer you don’t give anything for nothing and political alli [...]
