    1. The third act of a play is where it all usually comes together. The waiting, the mystery of two forces, and the inevitable meeting and fighting back ends here. Right here in this third and final book of the Mentalist Series. The gang is officially tired of running away. I don't like giving away spoilers, so I won't say a whole lot about this book. I will say that this was written in both Russ and Gemma's point of view. We can hear Russ' running internal dialogue of being galant trying to find a [...]

    2. A fun story with likeable characters and lots of action but I ended up getting lost with the plot and that made me lose interest towards the end. Gemma and Russ just think about things too much. The different groups and their different powers are complicated, and remembering what's happened, who's who, and what everyone is doing is hard enough on its own. Add in Gemma and Russ speculating and thinking about everything everyone says and it's very hard to keep track of what's happened and what the [...]

    3. Keepers is the 3rd part of her saga revolving around 16-year-old Gemma and the Mentalists. I've been following the series from the beginning, and I must say that I like Keepers the best. This is, of course, due to the much more dense, complex storyline, but also because the author's writing style has improved steadily over the years. The story is exciting, plausible, fast-paced and begins wihtout preamble, dropping the reader right into the action. The author assumes that you have read the previ [...]

    4. The third book in The Mentalist series is the most mature in the series and the one that has more action in it. It jumps right into the action and if you haven't read the other books you will get lost. I think the author did a great job writing this book and if you liked the series you will find the end to be everything you expected.Gemma has grown since the first book, she is not the scary shy girl anymore. She now has more knowledge about her powers and has faced so many enemies that she is no [...]

    5. (I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a review).(This review may contain spoilers).Having read the previous books in this series, I was happy when the author approached me to read the final one. It didn't take me long to be drawn into the world of the Mentalists and Gemma and Russ' lives.I liked being able to see something of the wider world of the mentalists and it was also good to see the Keepers. I liked seeing some of the characters from the previous books, though I didn't hav [...]

    6. In the final chapter of the Mentalists series, Gemma faces her worst fear in the form of a group of Keepers who seem to know everything about her. As other foes from her past surface, Gemma struggles to stay one step ahead of them all. But when help comes from unexpected sources, can she trust any of them?Keepers by Kenechi Udogu, the last book in the Mentalists series, throws readers into action in the first scenes. Gemma is fighting to not only save herself from becoming a weapon in a brewing [...]

    7. Personally, for me, I felt this was the best book in the series. I felt Kenechi improved on the story and characters within the Mentalist universe. Although, I felt Gemma was still stubborn as ever in a lot of ways, I still have to put into context how old she is and what she has gone through in her life to make her that way. Not to mention not much time passing from one book the next, doesn't leave room for a lot of growth. The story was evenly paced and the introduction of new characters from [...]

    8. If you would like to see my full review for this book, then you can find it one my blog:abooktropolis01But here is a snippet of my review:This book was so much better than the others. The others were like good and sorta my thing but this one, it was amazing. Kenny has definitely work hard to get to this point and I am super happy that she has found this point. I really hope that somewhere in the future we see more of the Mentalist world, through someone else’s eyes. This series is worth readin [...]

    9. *** Reviewing the series as a whole. ***Book Title/s: Aversion (#1), Sentient (#2), Keepers (#3) and Broken Ties (Prequel)Author: Kenechi UdoguSeries: The MentalistRating: Three Stars!Book One – Aversion-Very, very short read. The whole concept of the Averters and their world was quite unique, and I felt like it deserved a longer story. I didn’t connect very well with the main characters, and this was mostly due to the fact that we didn’t get a lot of background information about them or a [...]

    10. Our band of misfits are preparing for the final showdown. Russ, Gemma, her dad Paul, Laura and Peter. It seems Anthony and his Empath army isn’t the only thing they need to worry about now though as the Keepers are coming to play their part. Are they friend or foe? Only time will tell.Eamon is the head of a Keepers group, a group who happens to contact/kidnap Gemma. They can’t understand why Anthony wants her so much but something else that intrigues them is that she has an Orb – one that [...]

    11. This third book in The Mentalist Series does a nice job of wrapping up the story while leaving enough undone to suggest more books in the series. Unlike the first two books, this one has two narrators--Gemma and Russ--and they alternate telling the story. After two books of just Gemma, this took some getting used to. I enjoyed her voice and not having to readjust between two different people. However, this format gave the author opportunity to build tension and give two points of view on what wa [...]

    12. Original review can be found on my blog here.I would like to, firstly, thank the author, Kenechi Udogu, once again for giving me the chance to review her amazing series. The review for Keepers is the final novel in the series and if you have yet to read my review for the first 2 novels, you can read Aversion, 1st novel in the series, here and Sentient, 2nd novel in the series, here. 😀Wow, this final novel to the series ended with a bang! It certainly has been enjoyable reading Keepers. It is [...]
